The 29th Manila International Bookfair has been a tradition I picked up from my dad who works in between marketing, distribution, and publishing. Some 12 years later, I’m still attending it! My taste in books has gotten more expensive, but at least, it has also gone local :P

As I quote the lead of my reaction paper for corporate communication class on this event:

The mention of “bookfair” evokes a happy excitement in me in all the years I’ve been attending it. Visiting one for the first time as a third-grader, I chanced upon a pile of P25-books, all I could afford, and discovered rare activity books that might have led me to all that I’m ever interested in today. Ever since I made sure I had splurging money and enough time to look around the Manila Internal Bookfair (MIB), an event that in one way or another, have always lead me to many fortunate discoveries through books.
