A lecturer in class told us that they limit the number of “happy meal” toys that their employees can display on their office desktops.

Wha…!!! Are those corporate world rules..?!? But if people display them in style and still get to OC-fy (clean) their spaces, it should be ok, right??

I got myself a Burger King toy over the weekend, much to the envy from this co-blogger Kate’s post (HAHA), as well as the fear that I might not be able to display such toys anymore in the “office” I might work for someday.

The toy I got is the yellow tin box robot in the middle of this picture–it came with a pricey P99-burger meal with Coke and fries. The other two toys beside it come from Burger King as well, from last January 2008’s promo.

BK come up with the coolest kiddy meal toys! Haha! Bentang benta sa ‘kin ang kiddy meals with toys!

When I saw a man lugging the banner for this competition in my home college, my immediate reaction was I AM GOING TO WIN THIS! HAHA! (kidding of course)

It rings so beautifully in my wonderful daydreams as a photoblogger, and a photography enthusiast. ^_~ Anyway, let’s join the contest first:

For full rules and information, visit the competition’s website. <http://upiktyuran.smart.com.ph/>.

I read the poster at school and it said that you have to be a Smart subscriber to join—well @#$% the rules! (I’m a Globe person). I’ll find a way so I can join this competition and somehow contribute to my school’s already bloated centennial year picture bank!

UP students, let’s join! Let’s show to the other schools our photo love and centennial spirit!

We like dressing laid-back.

And we are a ‘Chuck taylor’ family. LOL.

(from January portfolio)

This is what it looks like inside one local t-shirt supplier factory.

Look at that rainbow inspiration wall! The karaoke station! The use of the open roof, and ventiladors (electric fans) for that presko (fresh) effect for its employees!

“Only in da Philippines!”

We’re so lucky we can click and shoot infinitely and pose like crazy in photos, with everyone we want to have pictures with! Gone are the days when we have to be in prima donna posing-modes all the time; now the sillier/gaudier the pose, the better! We can always photoshop later (if the photo is especially fugly).

“Picture-taking” as we call it has become so ingrained in our lives, that not having a camera when you go out could feel like the gravest mistake of your life. Feeling this at all makes us almost slaves to technology. Oh wait, aren’t we already? Kidding. ^__^

I wonder what my family, the country, the world be without cameras?

…Scare me to death. Sort of.

Treading up its steps and seeing the world beneath you (literally) takes my breath and sanity away.

The best things in life are free!

Haha! Especially true if you know a fresh grad with a fresh job and a fresh salary who’s willing to treat you out.

Still, this is still materialistic in nature because you’re dealing with money to afford ‘life luxuries’ like this strawberry crepe. Indulge in it for a while, but always remember to bring something back home, and to save enough for the rainy days.

(Thank you kuya!)

Do You Remember?

Feelings never change as you see them on printed letters.

Kitty Godmother

“Hoy ikaw, ano utang mo sa kin?”

My pet cat (she picked Gyunyu from the streets for me), unlimited computer lessons (she’s overcoming slight technophobia), music from “my generation” (she’s facing a thesis semester for her degree in Creative Writing– a dose of sabaw music could inspire her to some degree, I think)… and importantly, giving her an opportunity to meet the man of her dreams (HEH HEH). I’m working on it.

You’re becoming richer with these favors we have for each other ah Dr. Celeste! I wonder how many wishes can I ask from you now in return?

Senior Syndrome

I now have papers, reports, and a thesis proposal lined up in front of me. They’re all waiting to be tackled by a student who’s currently just not feeling the weight of it all yet. You know what I mean?

(Slinky, and willowy)

And UH-OH…! This is a problem if motivation to do schoolwork gets lost and swayed off by another marvelous distraction. Although I’ve always been a great (and lucky) procrastinator who gets things done when I need them, I want to fix it all up. I want to accomplish things on time, and to move on with my life without the huffing and the puffing.

Make-pretend today that I’m seeing Jack and the Beanstalk, Thumbelina or the Faeries / Encanto fantasies in my own backyard!

My family has always loved keeping wild vines unkept, and crawling over everything–turning some mosquito-infested and rusty backyard into a  place like a nature haven fit for fairy tales instead!

How to Ruin a Fresh Bed

22 June, 2008

Makes you want to scream @#$%***********!!!!!! Wah!

THE CULPRIT

Well I can’t help it. It’s raining outside; I’m helpless when the cat meows apologetically as if to say “sorry I muddled over your fresh bed sheet!”.

And It does makes a cute kitty statement ^^;; I’ll be reminded of my cat everytime I go to sleep at night.

My French Film Fest / French Spring 08 in Manila Movie Dates.

Wait–someone’s missing! Someone’s supposed to sit on the Prince of Caspian Paper Chair behind all of these people– they ended up sitting on the floor instead.

I love going out with people– more so if we get to watch free movies, and splurge on food just because we’re so hungry from all the laughing and talking about our lives.
