Auf Wiedersehen!
31 January, 2008

My favorite CommRes professor Mam Umali went off the Vienna at 3pm this day. It was touching– she spend her last hours in the country in the CommRes department– talk about love and loyalty to the department!
My blockmates sang a song for her and gave pasalubong. They were crying. Mam Umali taught us the power of research from our naive-kiddy college years up to our dazed-crazed junior year.
I learned a lot of corporate shimaz from her. I’m going to miss her professionalism and sensitivity, being a one of the best professors I’ve ever had in UP.
Wood Carvers in UP
29 January, 2008

It felt so cool, to see in the flesh these carvers do what they’ve been specializing in all their lives. The smell of freshly shaved kawayan (wood) is refreshing; I almost wanted to drop all the papers and books I’ve been clutching for dear life and run to them and join the craft session.
Rooftopping
29 January, 2008

I had to catch up with a friend about a lot of things: collaboration of projects, thesis help, comic-illustrator dreams.
I don’t know how we ended up sneaking up the balcony of the UP Registrar. Normally it was off-limits to students.
It felt great up there, the wind, the sunlight, the weird itch of retracting the deal of skipping that last class to up here. Hah! But it’s better that I was up there, than being stuck in a cramped classroom and entertaining myself by doodling.

Rainy Days Never Stays
28 January, 2008

I refuse to let the rain drive us out of our favorite chill-out spot; that’s what umbrellas are for.
Before Sunrise
27 January, 2008

While I watching the sun mount itself in the sky this morning, I was also looking over at someone beside me who dreams of things I’ll never know about. I’m tired, but I’d rather be awake to notice everything than to nap and miss a beat of this story.
Green Wedding
26 January, 2008

Of course I’m not talking about environmental issues (but it would’ve been fun to attend a wedding that emphasized being tree-loving, and nature-nutty). It’s my dad’s cousins’ wedding in Bulacan where the flower girls were better dressed than I, the candle-lighter girl, was.
I was carrying a headache and anxiety with unfinished school projects all the way– but I love going to places and would choose to attend last-minute far-flung events over finishing tasks back at home (haha, sorry).
And because I’m a fan of Scrooge and a non-fan of green, guess who I borrowed what I wore earlier?
…. My 70-something-year-old Lola Ma! WAHAHA! Seriously! (Ok lang, my Lola’s a fashionista naman.)
Fastfood characters

This is the disposable coffee cup cover of Mr. BK Jones, from Burger King. He grins even if you box out part of his face to drink your coffee.
And these are Mr. Queztion Mark and Panda Bear of the Secret Bearzz Society Burger King Kingdom created to trick kids and kid-minded people like me to buy an “exclusive” kids meal just to get the toy.

This is Kuya with the hot leather shoes and the lomography love.
When the family travels these days, we have at least three cameras in tow: a camera-phone, a lomo, and the digital SLR. Funny, we’re not even tat rich to have the pictures developed, or have the cameras insured in case they get stolen.
We happen to come from a family that would save picture albums BEFORE ANYTHING if their houses burned down (in me and kuya’s case, our computers).
Royal Blue Truck
25 January, 2008

Royal blue and armored! I want one! Haha!
Speak Corporate to Me
24 January, 2008
Pretend you’re in a corporate set-up daw.
Let’s be professional, man! And act as corporate-stuffy, I mean, as confident as our eyebag-laden beauty can muster to!

Ninjanelas Coffee Break
22 January, 2008

I was taking a break from writing a short movie script for 2 hours. I wanted inspiration while playing with this coffee mug, my hand reflection, and the fallen flowers.
Ninjanelas: The script is a comedy about death, a Ninja, a kikay documentary nut, and a handsome investigator.
Blank My Foot!
22 January, 2008

A seat mate’s bare foot.
We’re struggling to stay awake in a 4-7 pm class.
Fountain Hypnotize
21 January, 2008

I’m in a hospital, and I’m in a lonely mood because I dislike waiting behind walls that both protect and obstruct me from the truth.
Monday
21 January, 2008

This is a stolen photo from my Japanese 11 class early this morning (7-8:30!!!). That’s my Russian classmate Sergie (who knows Russian, Filipino, English, French, and now Japanese) with the hot new hair cut ^_~
We were playing a “directions” game:
Ue
Shita
Hidari
Migi
Soto
Chikaku
Naka
Aida
Push your body towards the direction said in Japanese.
It’s a CLASS Exercise!

UP-SILIP in UP Masscomm, pushing for the UP Stand-up campaign of junking the Pangilinan Bill. (I got that much right, right?)

I have good friends in SILIP even if I don’t share similar views with them. That’s how well-rounded these guys are. Listen to them when they talk :P
