Interested in learning about basic art elements, techniques, and how to use materials and tools like pastels, watercolor, colored pencils, etc?

RIP to the institution that feeds your mind

I mean, COME ON! Why leave trash where it dejectedly sits and greets every passer by a looming trashy, after-party-ish morning?

Placing garbage where they should be is so simple and easy and supposedly habitual already amidst all the effed up complexities of the world O_O Or is it precisely that, that it’s so simple that some can’t even afford as much as a muscle twitch to throw it out in fear of losing energy for their next big intellectual battle?

Chiz the camera!

We appeared on mainstream TV today. (No big deal, we were just re-enacting a scene out).

This might sound stupid, but that’s one of my gazillion life goals crossed out. Hehehe!

Despair is

..just a fleeting concept meant to be defeated by strong contenders of a difficult mental fight, enunciated by the despised pairing of these two words: Solo+thesis.

Just for a few hours in a day, this flowering plant whose name escapes the current Ate caretaker of the garden, explodes in fiery nature goodness!

And before you know, it it retires and dies a fugly brown prune..

Study Buddy

I found it difficult to consciously study for exams–that’s why in college I shifted to a course where I never had to, har har har.

But that experience can transform into one that’s bearable and even enjoyable.. Just get a friend to stay steady by your side :)

Erase

 

Accept your failures–never erase. Because in life, you can never erase your mistakes.

Learn to draw over your mistakes. Shape them, make them work for life.

Change the World, One Photographer at a Time

It’s the UP OPTICS ACLE experience–Photos that moved the world, and how to take them (more info here).

In this picture, UP OPTICS’ “Kuya”, and forever-resource person, photographer Dan Cercado, shows off one of the few pictures that sits framed in his house. “It was taken with this point-and-shoot camera.”

I am reminded that one doesn’t need fancy cameras to take photos that “change the world”. All it takes is a camera, and a heart to see things others can’t, to learn/”invest“ in skills to do justice in the moment you’re capturing, to be humble enough to realize that you’re supposed to take pictures with the purpose of glorifying and share the ”awesomeness“ of life in this day and age.

I am humbled and educated in this ACLE (Haha, I’m plugging). Then again I always learn from Kuya Dan. Read his blog to learn how he takes his pictures.
